This is a beautifully hand crafted, Taiwanese style flat profile Gemu Hardwood mid sized smoother plane.
A perfect fit for the palm and is designed for use either pushing or pulling.
Gemu is a valuable dark brown hardwood with some defined, close grain. It is found in southeastern China, Taiwan, and Vietnam, and widely used for ship building and for pillars of houses.
